On the search for the PERFECT foundation in the history or foundation creation!

For the past 4 or 5 months I have been on a precise hunt for the perfect foundation there possibly is out there. I have tried so many! I feel like a foundation whore in the making. No, seriously. I tried Nars, Estee Lauder, Chanel, Benefit, Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Maybelline, Dior, Korres, Laura Mercier, Urban Decay, Lancome, Bare Minerals, and possibly more. So.. out of all of those I finally tried YSL's Le Teint Touche Eclat, and let me just say.. love at first sight! I really fell in love with it.. I had never really liked the "dewy" or "glowy" look as far as foundation goes, I mean I don't have oily skin more like dry skin but when I tried this foundation on it was amazing. It was just all over glowy and radiant and I really liked it. I also liked that once I was done applying it my face wasn't overwhelmingly "shiny" or that it didn't have that sticky feeling. I decided not to powder it to see how it would last throughout the day, and it held up really well. One more thing I loved about it was how it didn't crease or get all icky around my nose. It's not just me right? This happens? Well this one didn't do that and that was a positive in my book. The coverage was definitely not a full coverage more like light to medium, which is okay because with a bit it will look flawless. It also covers pores very well which is something I tend to really look for in foundations. I was really happy with the foundation, but it was a tad bit too light for me so I decided I was going to buy the B50 shade instead of the B40, but.. when I went into Sephora to purchase it number one they didn't have the B50 shade. Bummer! :( And Two, I had always heard amazing things about the Makeup Forever HD Foundation and my friend and I had just spoken about trying it so.. I caved and had it tested on me. I came home, tried it on the next day and I was heartbroken because now I can't decide which one to purchase!!!!!!!! I liked the Makeup Forever one, I loved the finish most of all it wasn't super matte nor super glowy more like velvety. Which I believe is what they advertise it as. It looked so nice I wanted to run my hands all over my face.. so I did. It felt really smooth and nice to the touch, it also didn't crease around my nose which made me very happy. It's definitely a medium to full coverage if you use the correct amount of it, and it also covers and conceals pores really nicely. One other thing I really loved about this foundation was the fact that I needed no concealer. This was truly a shocker to me because this was around finals and all of that studying time and it was hot and I was stressed which meant, hello breakouts! Yet, it covered everything so nicely. I kid you not, didn't even touch my concealer. The only downside again was that the shade was way too dark for me, but I made it work. I don't have any negative comments about it. It didn't really break me out neither did the YSL one and I do have very acne prone skin. That's not the end of it though, I went ahead and went to mac to purchase a lip liner, and new lipstick. Bought myself Cherry lip liner, and Girl About Town lipstick. While I was there I got tested for their studio fix foundation in the color NC 25 I think, but I'll actually be an NC 20. Regardless, I had never really liked Mac foundations because they always seemed so cakey and just overdone. I made a huge mistake trying it and bringing some home though because I love it so much! Sometimes it will slightly crease around my nose, but it doesn't make me shiny and doesn't cause me to break out. I do have to be very careful when applying it though because you can definitely apply to much if you aren't careful. So the coverage can definitely be medium if you use a lighter hand and definitely full coverage. This is not a light coverage foundation. I really love the literally flawless look it gives though, it's pretty amazing. I do find myself needing to add concealer though because I don't want to apply too much foundation in a super tiny area. It covers pores nicely, but it takes more time and "technique" to do so. So now, this seems like a love triangle between my now favorite foundations. What to do what to do? I think I'm buying all three to be honest! I just can't decide! Anyway.. here are some pictures on how they look.

Random Blogpost: My Pet Peeves

My Pet Peeves

Oh my gosh! Words can not explain the happiness I feel in my heart! <3 I am so thankful to God because he always helps me so much. Gee I just want to celebrate.

So what is a pet peeve? A pet peeve is defined as: "... a minor annoyance that an individual identifies as particularly annoying to them, to a greater degree than others may find it."

I wanted to blog about my biggest pet peeves. I feel like I have a couple that seriously just really get to me and upset me so much! I also believe that I embody some peoples biggest pet peeves myself because of the way I am. So I will begin.

Chewing with your mouth open: Why? Why do people do this?! I don't understand! It just annoys me so freaken much, it's disgusting and despicable I believe. I have seriously gotten to the point where I will be sitting there eating and someone starts to do that.. and I want to cry or yell at them because it upsets me so much. I get so angry because it's so annoying! I usually don't want to say anything because its someone I know or care for or I'm close to, so it makes it awkward for me to be like, "Hey, shut your freaken mouth! It's gross and annoying to hear you chew your food, nevertheless be able to see you do it." You know? I just have gotten to points where I have to get up and leave because it angers me so much that I want to cry =/ ugh. Needed to get that off my chest.

Sipping or sucking on food: WHAT THE HECK?! I don't wanna hear you such on your meals, like sure a sip of coffee or tea here and there not all the time and super obvious and CONSTANT! Stop.. why must you continue to do this?! Didn't your parents teach you table manners?! Ahhh.. I gotta not talk about this anymore.

Things I do that might bother people: I know some peoples pet peeves are things such as people who never reply to text messages or who reply with one word texts. DING DING DING DING DING! I'm that person! I don't know why.. before when I was in High School.. which is not even long ago.. I would text 24/7. Like seriously, my mommy had to get me an unlimited everything plan because she couldn't keep up with my brilliant texting skills. Soooooo......... I would send up to 5,000 text messages in a month.. to me that's excessive. I look at it now and I hardly text and last time I checked I had sent around 1,500 text messages. I'm the person who will text you because I haven't heard form you in a while and then I will stop texting back. I will forget and reply two or three days later and that's if you're lucky! I understand this really bothers some people. To top it off, I don't stop there.. If I indeed reply to you I will reply with one word text messages. Have I really annoyed the hell out of you now? Yeah, I will be like "Yes. No. Okay. Me too. Maybe. Idk. Bye. Night, Morning. Yeah. Mm. Cool. Nice. Cute. Same. Omg. Lol." Now I have really pissed off quite a few friends by being like this, but my question to you is.. would you rather I change? Would you rather I send you a super long text message and not mean what I say. Would you rather I incorporate bullshit words into my text messages just to enrich the content of it, and try and fool you by allowing you to believe I spent a long time texting back. Like I just did? My point is.. why do you get so upset? If I'm replying I obviously care about you to an extent.. right? Calm down. Sometimes I get busy, but I think about you and then I text you and reply.. then I get busy again and I repeat it. Basically although the way I text might bother why do you flip out so much? It's not like I want you to send me 10 page text messages either, I don't demand that of you.. you shouldn't either relax.

And So It Begins...

My Beginning

Oh yay! This will be fun, I don't really know how blogging works. I don't really care much though. I feel like so many people want to create blogs or make videos to benefit from them. While I also believe that's okay for some people to do it when it's for the correct reasons, I also believe it's silly just to do it for popularity and money. Okay, I am going to express my feelings now, brace yourselves. Well.. that is if someone is reading this. Last summer I decided that I was going to start making Youtube videos because I was subscribed to several "Beauty Gurus" on Youtube and I figured why not give it a try? I kept up with it for a couple of weeks and then I decided to "retire." What I noticed though is that people are tired of seeing new beauty gurus. To be honest I hate that term so from now on I will no longer say it, or at least try. So anyway, I noticed it was annoying to see so many people trying so hard and just following a trend. Pretty much uploading what they thought would get the most views or the post comments, likes, etc. When The Hunger Games premiered you best believe Youtube was FLOODED with "Katniss side braids." Now that was awkward because for the thousands of us more lazy girls that did our hair like that daily to save time, etc. it now seemed like we wanted to "bandwagon" the trend. Damn it! The fact that so many people were creating those videos, in my opinion, weren't really doing it because they loved the book or the hairstyle but simply to get views and ratings. I thought that was unjust and not fair to the viewers or readers. These trends and hypes made my decision to not make a single video more much easier. I did however make one review. A review on the camera I had so proudly bought to make good quality videos in the first place. I was so excited with the camera at the moment that I just wanted to share my love for it with the world or anyone that wanted to know about it. I also noticed that while I was researching about it only there weren't that many good reviews about it, or that I didn't like the reviews at all because they were missing something I really wanted to know about the camera. I figured if I was the viewer I would like to see this this this and this and to be told about the battery life, the picture and video quality, to show me a picture and a video clip, the sound and so on. These were so many things people didn't speak about. So, I decided to review the camera and speak about every single thing I wanted to hear about or be aware about before buying the camera. I did just that, and it turns out that video has more comments, views, likes, and messages than any of my other ones. At that moment I realized that was because I was genuine in that video. I really was sharing my thoughts on something I loved, not just uploading something because I thought people would like to see it. So today I decided to start blogging. I'm not doing this for millions to read my blogs or watch any videos I post. I am doing this for me, to liberate any thoughts, concerns, happiness, and things that go on in my life. It will be like a diary, well an open diary to share with others. I will post and make videos about what I want, what I love, and what I feel like posting because I enjoy it. I will not do anything because another Youtuber or blogger has millions of views and comments. I will do what I please because I want to do it. I am my own person and I don't ever want to be one of the bunch of people who are all the same. I am a unique individual like each and everyone one of us is. So if anyone out in this huge internet world is reading my blogpost you can count on my sincerity and complete honesty, rants, and much more to come.. but all of that will be ME. Not anyone else, not a combination, not double, and sure as hell not a wannabe. I'm going now, I have nothing else to share except how to keep the colors on your clothes for longer so when you wash them they don't loose their color and how to remove blood stains and other stains from clothes. The things my Biology professor teaches me amaze me.. oh science I love you.-Jocie <3
